Our Anniversary

Dear Delanceyplace.com readers,

June 2, 2015 marked the tenth anniversary of Delanceyplace.com. We are grateful for the enthusiastic support we have received during that entire time.

The world is an amazing place, and real life is routinely stranger, more unexpected, and more instructive than fiction. We try to reflect a small bit of that in our selections. If you haven't already, you can check out the archive of all the selections we've ever emailed by date on our website (www.delanceyplace.com) by clicking "delanceyplace archive," or you can search for selections using keywords by clicking "search archives."

Readers often tell us that a certain one of the emails we sent was their very favorite. So to help note our anniversary, we would ask you to email us during April or May and tell us which of our posts over the last ten years were your very favorites. You can submit them to us at daily@delanceyplace.com. We will take these, compile them, and then share the results (somewhat tongue-in-cheek) as the "top ten selections of the decade".

Anyone submitting one of his or her favorite emails to us will be entered into a drawing to be held on June 2. We will randomly draw ten names and send each of those ten readers a free copy of our "top ten books of the decade".

It's been a remarkable ten years. We now have over 150,000 subscribers; we have emailed out over 2500 selections; and we have read almost 1500 books as part of the process.

One more thing: As mentioned above, on June 2nd we will also post our top ten books of the decade. It's not easy to pick just ten. We are currently slogging back through our archives to try and make that list.

Thanks as always for your interest and support.

Warmest regards,

Richard
